


The Bureau of Problem Solving (BOPS) is an interactive advice stall, based on Lucy's psychiatric stall that appears in the Charlie Brown books by Charles M Schulz. BOPS hands out advice that is funny, sensitive and intuitive.
Audience members pick a problem form the front of the stall (Love, Money) then they can choose the style of advice (Super Deluxe, Sing along ) or they can make up one of their own.
We live in a time of great hardship and uncertainty: unfair dismissals, email overload, unusual attachments and bizarre circumstances.
BOPS believe that they can lighten the load and possibly put bouncy castle into the minds of the people who need it most.
Customers need to embrace the spirit of absurdity by letting a total stranger, who is dressed like a medicated bridesmaid who can dish up baloney on a bed of bonkers.
Through performance, we aim to make people feel "Better"
BOPS promotes “having a go” take risks and throw caution to the wind.
We remind people that there are very few answers out there!
We highly recommend a kind of not knowing, if social media promote self doubt, then we want to spread the word like an evangelist on a hot day, that the way forward is this way.
Internally we can turn you into that ecstatic game show contestant who simply won a set of steak knifes.
Since it began in 2003, BOPS has been funded by the Arts Council England and performed at the Edinburgh Festival, Bow festival, Stokefest and in Lord Mayor Festival, Trafalgar Square.
